SİNCE 1957 TO OUR DAY SAKARYA STOCK EXCHANGE, Sakarya Stock Exchange was established on 19 February 1957 with the approval of dated 18 February 1957 of Ministry of Commerce through the Agribusinessmen in our province and it went in to operation in 15 April 1957. When the Adapazarı Stock Exchange was established, it had 215 members and 5 professional committees.
Our Stock Exchange is the 33rd of the Stock Exchanges established in our country. Our Stock Exchange is a legal entity establishment, which was established on the basis of 28. Article of Law of Chambers and Exchanges numbered 5174 to meet the common needs of its members, to facilitate the professional activities, to ensure the development of the profession in accordance with the general interests, to make dominant the priority and confidence in its members relations with each others and public, to purchase and sell the materials belong to Stock Exchange in province Sakarya and to detect, register and declare the prices that occur in the Stock Exchange. The agencies of the Sakarya Commodity Exchange are Committee, Board of Management, Disciplinary Board, Agents.
There are totally high educated 15 staffs including a General Secretary in Sakarya Commodity Exchange. The 21 member-committee chosen from among 8 professional committee members in the election held once every 4 years according to the 8 occupational groups divided in to their engaging issues and the Board of Directors that consists of 7 people selected from among this committee constitute the Commodity Exchange’s top management structure in Commodity Exchange. Our Stock Exchange has begun to serve firstly in a building belongs to Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Afterwards it has hired 5 decare-parcel of land behind the buses garage belongs to Adapazarı Municipality, at this place it has established shops with its own means for trades and producers who produce potato, onion and pumpkin seed and it has turned into purchase and sale inner-Stock Exchange. The trades are transferred here owing to the fact that Potato Production and Consumption Cooperative established the Potato Marketplace in Erenler in 1977 by agreeing with Stock Exchange and the shops of Stock Exchange have rent to broom producers and so heather has been added to inner-Stock Exchange.
Thus our Stock Exchange has turned to hall purchase and sale on potato, onion, pumpkin and heather. But as a result of the fact that the 3 buildings have fallen short, a building was built on our 4 shops in Erenler in 1975 and the office concept was brought. Our Stock Exchange continued to operate in the same place until 1999. In 1992 our capacity rose by 100% and there was a need a new stock market field, as a result of the fact that the government gives the necessary importance to Stock Exchanges and to be understood the benefits of exchanges after the outbreak of with the Stock Exchange’s joint liability with No. 164.
Our Stock Exchange bought with its own means 30 decare parcel land in Tekeler Mahallesi Çevre Yolu and it began to build the 3 buildings, purchase and sale halls, social facilities and Corn Chandler and Seller of Brooms Site with 132 shops. This construction was completed within a short time, such as 4 years and our Stock Exchange became operational on 19 April 1999 by transferring the administration building in Erenler to current place. It makes inner-Stock Exchange purchase and sale of heather in its establishments located on Tekeler Mahallesi Çevre Yolu
